App Manager: Manage Apps

Once logged into the App Manager,

  1. Select menu item 'Apps > Create App'
  2. The Create Application form that appears allows you to set a series of settings for your app as follows:
    • Internal Application Name - (required) Name that Proxomo will use internally to refer to your app
    • Friendly Application Name - (currently not used)
    • Application URL - (required) Enter...
    • Notification Services -
      • Email -
      • SMS Text Messaging
    • 'Email From' Name - (required) Name that Proxomo will include in any messages that it sends on behalf of your app when it calls the Notification Send endpoint. 
    • 'Email From' Address - Address that Proxomo will include as the 'sender' in any messages that it sends on behalf of your app when it calls the Notification Send endpoint.
  3. When you have completed configuring your settings, click on the Create Application button
  4. A new form titled <your Internal ApplicationName> Settings  will come up and display the settings you previously set. In addition,
    1. Notice that Proxomo displays two important values (in red) in the first two fields: Application ID and Proxomo API Key. The App Manager automatically generates each of these unique values for every app. These are necessary for authentication and are unique to  this app. Therefore, don't share these values or reuse them with other apps.
    2. Over to the right hand side you will see a Providers section. It lists the social networks that Proxomo currently integrates with to provide your app with User Authentication (link), interaction with profile and event information as well as friend connections.
      • Facebook
        1. Check the "Facebook" checkbox
        2. Click on the gear icon. The Facebook Provider Settings form will appear.
        3. Enter your Facebook Application ID and Facebook Application Secret and comma-separated list of Facebook Permissions 
        4. Hit Save Changes button
    3. Once you have configured the Providers, you can click on the Save Changes button to commit your configuration.
  5. The App Manager now displays a list of all the apps you have created in Proxomo. You can edit any of the application settings by clicking on the Application Name.
